Com 53 commits foi disponibilizado uma nova versão de manutenção da série 3.1 do Kernel do Linux. Como destaque, no Kernel Linux 3.1.3, correções no subsistema ALSA, subsistema USB e driver DRM Intel i915.

Boas, é normal, existem sempre correcções (bug fixes) a fazer. Ainda para mais tendo em conta os constantes avanços nesta área.

Por exemplo, a versão estável mais recente é a 3.1.4-oneiric (que é a que tenho no neu Ubuntu 11.10), visto eles terem revertido uma correcção (bug fix) que deve ter dado problemas.

Também já existe a possibilidade de instalar o mais recente kernel, que é o 3.2-rc2-oneiric que poderá ser instável.
O rc2 significa release canditade (candidato a lançamento). Já existe o rc3, mas ainda só dispõe do pacote all.deb, como tal não convém MESMO instalá-lo!
