Entretanto, Luís, o Painel acho que ficou bem melhor com essa linha mais clara. Gostei também da abordagem diferente do tema. Apesar de não ser o mesmo tema, talvez se enquadre melhor no conjunto visual.

o applet das áreas de trabalho permite pô-lo mais pequeno? Acho que ficaria mais bonito, 1px mais pequeno. No caso do mockup, ele tem uma margem de 1 px à volta.
o fundo luminoso das aplicações abertas no painel lateral ficaria bem interessante!
Fontes light à lá Metro. Open Sans light talvez fossem a melhor escolha!

Parabéns Yury e Luis! De um lado Luis com XFCE e do outro Yury com LXDE, mas ambos usam OpenBox. Luis, a preferência pelo OpenBox é por que o xfwm4 possui poucas opções ou por serem adequadas para janelas quadradas? Concordo com Claudio, apenas faltou no Tint2 o efeito destacado de sombreado branco nos aplicativos abertos.
Obs.: Yury, tem no canto esquerdo uma linha vertical de pixel vazia no painel superior.

Alterei a opacidade dos títulos das janelas. Adicionei a borda branca no painel do topo. Coloquei a Área de Notificação, mas sem os indicadores de som, chat e etc. Não os utilizo, então apenas ocupariam espaço
